About Awayline
Awayline is a free app for football fans going to away games by train. It covers all 92 Premier League and EFL clubs. Pick a game and it plans your trains there and back, and tells you straight away whether you can get home the same night.
What it does
- Can you get home? For every away game, Awayline finds a train that gets you to the ground in good time, works out when the game should finish, and finds your train home. If the last train goes too early, it says so and looks for an overnight option, like the sleeper.
- Live trains. On the day, it uses live running to show delays, platforms and cancellations.
- Pubs. Suggestions near the ground, fitted around your trains.
- Weather. Warnings about frost, heavy rain and strong winds in the days before the game.
- When it goes wrong. Plain-English guides to your rights, Delay Repay, and what to do if a game moves.
- Share my journey home. A link you can send to family so they can follow your train home, with the next option if it's cancelled. Anyone with the link can see it.
Who it's for
Fans travelling away, whether it's your first away day or your fiftieth. You don't need an account to plan a trip.
With a free account, you can save trips and see alerts in the app when kick-off or your trains change. You can also track your away season, reserve a seat on a supporters' club coach and plan a group trip with your mates.
Fans aged 18 and over can also share lifts, chat with other fans going to the same game, and check in at and rate pubs.
Where the information comes from
- Fixtures from ESPN, with TheSportsDB as a backup.
- Train times and live running from Realtime Trains.
- Weather forecasts from Open-Meteo.
- Pub and ground details from club away guides and our own research.
- Ticket notes from the sources shown next to them.
Some things are our estimates. We estimate full time at 1 hour 55 minutes after kick-off, with extra time allowed for cup games. Walking times are estimates too.
Trains and kick-offs change, so always check with the train company and the club before you travel or buy tickets. Our terms explain more.
Independent and unofficial
Awayline is independent. It isn't connected with, approved or endorsed by any football club, the Premier League, the EFL, National Rail, Realtime Trains or any train company. For tickets and official news, go to your club's own website.
Supporters' coaches in Awayline are run by supporters' club branches, not by us. Awayline gives them a simple way to take bookings.
Free to use
Awayline is free. We don't sell tickets or take payments, and we don't get paid for the links to fare websites.
